Gashapons discovery~!

How was everyone’s Christmas and New Year? My family had two visitors over and my grandma for Christmas, food was so yummy~ Not many presents this year, but my brother and I saved up for a Wii to make up for it x3, though we’re missing another wii controller so we’re using a Gamecube one for now, will buy the wii one later ;3.
As for new year’s eve, it was just the four of us and my grandma, missed the beginning of the fireworks on tv as we were busy hugging each other and pouring out the champagne lol xD; Food was just as yummy as the Christmas dinner… unfortunately I was so hungry by then that I forgot to take photos of it u_u~
I’m missing a post [or 2 xD;;], will get to it later, but for now read on to find out about the Gashapons~
Attended a meeting along with my dad on Monday night for LR, I love their products so I go along for the monthly meetings x3.
Anyhow, went to our local shopping centre straight after to buy bread and as we walked out discovered this little hidden treasure xD

I only found out about gashapons last year thanks to the community at dannychoo.com, and there’s never any sort of japanese merchandise around here u_u~

Gundam 00 SD~ So cute~ There was another set of machines in another section of the centre but I didn’t notice them, my dad mentioned it only when we got to the car orz

Unfortunately I didn’t have any $2 coins, wanted to cry u_u~ wanted to get at least one SD to take home with me but I didn’t want to go back to the shops for change, it was late and I was tired lol~
My dad mentioned finding another set of these machines at our local Westfield, so if you’re in Sydney have a look around your local shopping centres, especially Westfield, you just might find one or more ;3

@Koshiko: Funny, although I’ve seen scattered episodes of “Wing” and “Seed”, I just started powering thru the original 1979 “Mobile Suit Gundam” series last month. Still up to episode 19, lol. Not bad. But not life-altering, lol.
P.S. Just replied to your Toybox comment. >_<

I’ve watched about 5+ episodes of each series that my brother has gotten his hands on so far, lol. So far I like G Gundam the most out of the older series, I really like Gundam 00 atm :3

There’s plenty of gashaphons up at Capitol Square in the city. Though I stop getting gashaphons since it’s a waste of money and space.

Yeah, I’ve seen them, but that was before I really knew what they were xD;
Main point I was trying to make is that I never find any japanese items like this around my area so it was an interesting new discovery :3
And I have no intentions of starting a collection as I can see they’d be a waste of money and space like you say ;3

Interesting discovery. I’m surprised in shopping Centers like Westfield will have them. 0_0
Well, even though I have a few, it’s only a one off thing as I focus on scale figures and figmas itself.

Yeah, though Westfield I can understand in comparison to my local centre, there’s only 3 major stores there xD;

It was interesting to read how you have spent the Christmas holidays, but most of all, I am struck by the fact that shopping malls can be purchased gashapons.
